_{Guess what guys? Nagoshi is finally here to stay again! As I mentioned before in past updates I've been a busy busy creature, but now most of my projects have finally come to a close (the curious may feel free to dig around in my personal journal archives to discover these "projects" that kept me from this beloved club ).

But enough of that. As my first update in, what, two months or so (my apologies for that ~Wh1sp3rZ!) I've caught up on everything minus the dreaded favorites situation. I realize that I can say it until I'm Sonic-blue in the face, but please please please do not fav anything in this gallery! Links to the original images are always provided, and it's only just that the artist gets the attention. Trust me, we get enough as it is. And please don't feel offended by my equally dreaded "Please remove yada yada's fav and replace it with this one" messages...they sound cold and mechanic only because they are recycled forms. I only fill in the blanks. XD You may not believe me but I truly have mixed feelings when sending these messages. On one hand I hate to pester the recipient, as I know getting such a cold message from a big bad club co-admin isn't a fun experience. But on the other I really love it when you guys respond so quickly, and it gives me the warm fuzzies knowing that a deserving Deviant just got a fav because of exposure through our club. Call me sappy or obsessive about my non-paying job, I still wanna help the artists out. ^_^

Another new issue came up today as well. When submitting your artwork, please be sure that the link you provide us with is from your gallery. I am very much against art theft, and if I see that your name doesn't match up with the one in the URL you provide me with, I'm going to ask questions. Please don't assume that I'm singling you out when or if I do this or trying to pin you as a thief - I realize there are legit circumstances for art being displayed on another account and I just want to make absolutely sure everything is cool.

Well, I think the morals of this update are:
Please stop faving things from our gallery - use the "Original Link" found in all deviation descriptions. If you fav you WILL force me to pay your page a visit (and not one either of us will enjoy), and it COULD get you banned. Banishment is bad, we don't like that. So, tell all your friends, watch yourself, and be cool.
Make sure all submissions come from your own gallery and are your own work. Collaborations will be investigated to make sure everyone who worked on the art agrees and is aware of its submission, and in the event your link suggests that the work came from another Deviant questions WILL be asked.
Another reminder is that this is a hedgehog club. While I may enjoy the other Sonic characters and other species, it's a given rule and I'm not about to change it. I'll use my own discretion in events when a picture has multiple characters in it, and my judging usually goes by the ratio of hedgehog vs. other characters and by how hedgehog-y the character looks (which typically knocks hybrids out). If you ever disagree with my judgment, just let me know - I won't be offended and promise not to bite anyone!
Oh yeah, and the most important one: Nagoshi doesn't like to sound mean. Ever. I am a real person behind this keyboard, and I do feel for you guys whether in success or failure. I do take this job seriously and will appear professional and steel-cold when I have to, but that's the co-admin talking. The gamer and artist just wants ya'll to have fun and make friends...with other members, ~Wh1sp3rZ, and of course, ME!

Keep it cool guys, I'll be seeing ya more often from now on.

_{Sorry for the slooooooooooow updates. When I saw we'd been off for 8 whole weeks, I HAD to come in and update. I did everything except the whole fav'ing situation. I can't handle that, it's Nagoshi's job. XDDD Yay her! *bricked*
Anyways....that's about it. Maybe the updates won't take so long next time...? ^^'

_{Well long time no update huh guys? I was hoping our administrator would find time to come in while I couldn't, but hey, like I always say, we're both busy creatures. In fact (shameless plug) if you want to see exactly what has kept me personally so busy, feel free to take a look at the journal over on my account.
Shamelessness over, all the backed up submissions are now up and flying their colors, and all requests to join sent via note are processed. I haven't gotten to the messages on the front page yet, and will when I can, promise! While on the subject of this joining thing, I'd like to clear something up. For some reason, a lot of good folks have been confusing our "note us to join" system. If you only watch the club, but don't send a note or leave a comment on the front page then you won't be added to the members list. Don't get me wrong, we love our watchers too, but many people including myself tend to watch clubs for the art without any desire to join, and I'm not able to telepathically guess who those people are and who watch with the intention of membership in mind. Also, even though you may leave a message on the front page instead of sending a note (folks on a dial-up connection have my sympathy when it comes to sending notes), I have a habit of working through the notes before the messages, so it may take longer before I notice you. I will, honest, but I'm no Sonic when it comes to work-speed.
In other news, oh noes! No one joined in on our Christmas contest! Well, that's very unfortunate, but nothing much to be done at this point. Next time maybe? ... Guys? [cricket noises]
